Okay so I finally got the GSX up and running pretty nice automatic 6bolt now with only 2000 miles on the engine and trans a week after I get it running I blow some fuse somewhere in the depths of eclipse hell  . 4th time on the AAA limo in 6 months had a gs only prob I had was ignition chip 140,000 miles turbo and all any way I was thinking of getting another car cause I hate having a nice car I can't drive, However I've gotten a little spoiled with the street legal turbo and awd So I thought well I like mitsu, "god knows why" why not an evo, do these things brake as easy as our cars or what?

any and all opinions welcomed.

Not to be a quiter but I can't spend my life under my car when I could spend it behind the wheel you know.:(

If you have the cash to get one then go for it. I have a friend with a modded MR and one with a modded evo 8. Both are amazing cars. Fun to drive and look great. If i had the cash i would go get one. From the factory we all know that they have some balls behind them, add some mods and you have a rather quick street car. I say go for it.

You're comparing a nearly new car to one that's over a decade old. Things like blown fuses will be less likely to happen to you although it's not a guarantee.

I've had my Evo for a year. I've put 30k on it in one year, I drive it everywhere. I love this car. It has never had problems like my Talon did. Go out and test drive one and you'll be hooked.

I realize its a 4g63 (evo) and keeping it up isn't really the problem I think that given the fact that the gsx is over a decade old even when most everything under the hood is pretty new does'nt really change the amount of things if not increasing the things that can go wrong. Don't get me wrong I've loved these cars since their introduction to the show floor, but theres got to be a limit to how much falls apart.

The evos do have alot of recommended preventative maintanence and I still spend a lot of time under the hood, but its not unexpected random issues like my dsm had. As long as you stay on top of the maintanence the evo shouldnt have any issues.

If you're going for an awd turbo car, the evo has more potential than other awd cars that i've researched. If i had the money, i'd pick up an evo mr in a heart beat!

EVO all the way!!!

evo!! you can drive it when your 30 and not look retarded... i'm 25 and in my gsx every high school kid i see on the streets wants to race me...

I know the feeling, Well I have decided to get an evo don't know which one mainly because I don't much about them. Sadly enough I got the GSX going again and hopefully I can keep it going all the way through MOD 06. I’m not to happy about having 4 doors though not really sporty but I’m sure I'll get used to it and hey maybe I can use it as a family car
I’m going to try and keep the gsx for as long as I can and have the evo but I know this is hoping for a miracle.

Thanks Guys :dsm:
