Evo VIII Cams in DSM? [Merged 5-9] 8 cam

My friend is upgrading the cams on his evo VIII so he'll be getting rid of the stockers. Would the stock evo cams be a good upgrade for my car (97 gsx)?

ah, ok...
you need a dial indicator to catch the valve movement, and a timing wheel to read the angles...

I have degreed my cams to get a 30* overlap (15/15)

I'm using stock dsm cam gears so I can't adjust anything. I don't have any issues though. If I did this the way I did it to a stock car you wouldn't even know I changed the cams when idling/cruising.

you won't be able to use the MIVEC cam of the Evo 9 set.
