so whats the catch are they complete garbage I seen one with a 6 month warranty can someone give me the scoop on the ebay turbos? I need to replace my t25 asap, you can hear a rattle and i had white smoke, plus it dont seem to want to kick in under wot anyways whats up should i buy the BIG EVO turbo off Ebay? and if so I just need a fuel pump upgrade to walbro 255 and what else

Would avoid any eBay Evo 3 if it isn't true mhi. I've seen a comparison of a blown mhi compared to a brand new eBay turbo and the eBay turbo had more shaft play than the blown turbo.

The ebay turbo's are good for the price. But they have been known to die prematurely and aren't as efficient as the legit turbo's. But for the price and if your really in the need, go for it. You can have them rebuilt just the same. However some I've noticed don't use the same bearings as the TD05H 16g's.

When upgrading from a T-25 you'll need a whole install kit: J pipe, lower intercooler pipe, oil feed/return lines, and gaskets. You can reuse the water lines by flipping/re-bending them.

You can bolt on the turbo and go, but you won't be able to run boost much higher than 10psi. Also it's recommended to get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator with a 255lph fuel pump; the stock regulator can have trouble controlling the increased flow.

eBay turbos aren't bad for the price, if you take it to a machine shop and have it balance checked first it should hold up fairly well especially if you aren't pushing it that hard.
