Hey guys my buddy that used to own a DSM bought a 16G off an Evo 8 years ago, he said he'd sell it to me for $100. shoul I jump on it? and What would I need to do for a manifold and whatnot, it would be going on my 95 GS-T that I recently converted to a TSi. Thanks guys.

So far using this turbo on a dsm has not shown enough umph for the work. As far as I gather from some threads I've read but I have one of these turbos also and am configuring how to set it up now. The stock manifold is bolt up to the head but the flange needs to be reversed. Will be putting my spare block together some time soon to get some more measurements. Not seeing it as hard as thought to be but slim fans will one thing that should be used. Its definately not bolt up that's for sure. Some custom work will be needed for sure. If its good and you buy it you could probably at the worst resell for the same amount.

If you bolt it directly to the engine with the evo manifold than the inlet will be blocked by the ps pump and alternator. IF you switch it around the other way than it will hit the radiator. You will spend more money trying to make that turbo work than you would buying a good used evoIII 16g.

Find yourself an X turbo instead. Those being standard rotation make it easier. I know for sure they can fit, seen one in person.

What about this guy? He seems to have done it pretty easily. I'm asking about it right now. Also there was one more thread I had posted in that someone had installed it and was just doing the piping. Trying to dig it back up now.

And this is what it will look like. There will be no room for the radiator and fans. Can it be done, of coarse, is it logical, not at all.
