420A engine harness

I have a 1996 420a non turbo car and a 1997 420a non turbo car my question is the 1996 is in far better shape than the 97 but the engine harness is fried not all of it but some of it.. My question is will the 97 harness fit the 96 or should I just take the time to fix the fried wires in the harness that was in the car in the first place..

They both use the same harness, but it depends on what you plan on doing with the other car in the future.

I plan on just getting one going as the motor in the 97 just died and spilled its guts all over the ground on my way back from the store.. Thanx for the responce and eventually i would like to turbo the car but not right now just need to make 1 from 2 so I have a car at all..

they are not the same half the plugs are diffwernt on the back of the motor so harness shopping i will go.
