i recently did a swap from a 90 to a 91 harness. i had to do some splicing, but the car runs fine now. No Cel's. But i was wondering, why my tach neither my temp gauge on the cluster work, when i bought the harness, just like the original one i had, part of the harness that went inside the car, had different plugs, 3 of them went to the ecu, 1 to the fuel pump relay, another one went to the dash or ignition i guess, but there was a bigger one, that used to hook up, on the passenger's kick panel area, that one is not plugged because the male and female connectors don't match, so i need to do some splicing. I saw that part of this harness goes to the radio, but i was wondering, if having this unplugged would cause the tach and the temp gauge to not work, because part goes to the radio as i stated, but i saw that this harness goes somewhere around the dash area. Can anyone tell me if having this unhooked, would cause this gauges not to work? any wiring diagram? thanks.

You need to look at the VFAQ.com site about switching the 1990- 1991 ecu's/wiring. The tach filter is different between the two years. The plug at the kick panel should be fixed too. You can pull the wires from the connectors and swap connectors so that everything plugs back in.

Well, the thing is that i swapped cas, power transistor, and even gauge cluster, so i shouldn't be using the noise filter, it should work just fine. my logger reads rpm's and temp just not the gauges, thats why i was wondering about this plug next to the passengers kick panel.
