I have a 98 GST and the shop i took it to told me that my harness is fried (which explains the broken fuse problems) I keep running across 95-96 engine harness's and wanted to know if i can use those or do i have to find a 97-99 harness.

I tried searching but all threads seem to not be answered or talk about a CAS issue that isnt clear.

The 95-96 CAS plug will be located near the underside of the intake cam gear on the driver's side.
The 97-99 CAS plug will be located at the end of the cam on the passenger's side (like the 1g location).

You would probably have to rewire the CAS plug to reach the other end of the motor.

Other than that, I'm not sure of any differences.

Not to hijack the thread, but would there be any difference vice-versa? I have a 96 harness that got fried, and bought a 97 GSX harness to replace it. All my car's sensors are hooked up, but I have 3 extra wires up front and then I'm missing the other CAS plug from the firewall.
