I know this should be on the parts review section but since im a newbie is not letin me .

I purchased a coilover set from emusa last month.im a student in a tight budget and needed some kind of upgrade from my blown stock suspension .the ebay seller sell this for 450 shipped but i call emusa and i got it for 375 shipped. I know there is other reviews about this coilover set ,but since emusa revised this product im doing a new review .I was goint to buy the tokico hp set but i took a chance with this ones .I cant drive my car right now because i need to replace the rear hub and bearing so i i haven't install the coilvers. ( car is my dd )

This set is 16way damping adjustable , not sure but i think is to adjust the rebound.

Pillow ball top mounts but no camber plates, i checked for play and everything looks to be fine.

Individual height adjustment.

Front spring rate 8kg , Rear is 6 kg

and here are some pics i took today one front and one rear . I ll update when i install them prabably in a couple of weeks. sorry for the big pics

Any pictures of the fully installed coil overs?? I'm eaither going EMUSA coil overs or tokico illumunas n springs..

So EMUSA makes only one set of coil overs for both GST and GSX? Or are there two sets??

I thought they did? AWD's are heavier due to the added rear diff and subframe.
Still havent had a reply. :(

I emailed them sunday afternoon asking for prices, its 449 plus 40 for shipping, still not bad :thumb:

+1 how are these holding up? Are they easily adjustable?

I'm still holding off until I hear an update to see how they are holding up, let us know asap how the set up is doing..

I am interested in longevity on these. Please post updates one year from now.

:rocks: I

Looks very tempting for the GSX. I wouldn't use these on a serious road course/auto x car (goal for the 1g), but if they're reliable enough, they lower the car, and they're cheap... seems perfect for a street strip combo

Yea I figured they wouldn't be for a serious track only car

altho as long as they lower my car and ride decent I'll be happy :thumb:

gst gsx use same shocks . spring rate dont really matters with aftermarket suspension

Are they still holding up? No leaks or anything? Im considering buying some just to drop a little without the roughness of just springs. The way i look at it is, as cheap as they are you can just buy more as they tear up LOL.

LOL yea you are right . if the price still the same they are about 92 dollards each shiped LOL

i was supposed to make a review this week but this happend .

These things suck!!! bought them last May had the same problem as "EclipticalGS" also by sept. the shocks were done... SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

yes they have different spring rates but in aftermarket suspension that doesn't matter..!!

Springs Rates do matter even in aftermarket suspensions!!

Your'e misunderstanding. He means that you need not focus so intently on gsx vs gst spring rates on aftermarket springs/coilovers. The motion ratio of a GST and a GSX is not so astronomical that you could not use either one. I mean, a lot of manufacturers don't even differentiate. However, there have been reports of a rather stiff rear end when running cheap awd springs in the rear of a gst and of course the opposite has been found to be true, too.

For example, if I was choosing custom rates for my GST or my GSX, I'd still be getting 500fr/300r or something along those lines.

Those are some sexy coilovers you got there I'm totally gonna get a set for sure.

I got upper front and rear strut bars, will my strut bars still mount? I notice only two bolts hold them to the towers.

being great for the price is a subjective comment to what you value is quality. These will ride like garbage and perform like garbage. No such thing as a good coil over for $400. Also don't confuse good handling with a stiff ride. To all who got excited about this you should think twice. A quality shock/spring combo will trump budget coil overs 100% of the time

hi i wanted to see if a buy the those coilovers or the new megan for 699 what do you think is that much of diff between emusa that you had experience them cause i want to go cheap to save some money for diapers

Do yourself a favor and just get daipers.

Think about it, for the price you spend on these coilovers and realize it was a mistake.... you could have had a years worth of daipers.

Shity ride? Or shity pants.

Dude you shouldn't talk as you want to purchase a more expensive version of shitty coil overs. I think most of you in here need to learn to research more and take what others recommend with a grain of salt. Proper coil overs start at $1,800 and anything below that will not out perform a proper stock strut and spring replacement. If you want a bouncy horrible handling ride then go ahead and order whatever color coil over matches your car so you can brag about owning coil overs.

well guys i have an update. Last week i drove through 5 straight big potholes full throttle first and second gear and i blew the front shocks. but i must say these last eight months they took a good amount of abuse, remember i live in a city with really rough streets and alot of potholes. I know if i take better care of them and try to avoid the potholes they could last more than a year. Im going to give emusa a call and order 2 front shocks which i think will be less than 200$ shipped and give it another shot but this time try not to put so much stress on them and plus i had the car slammed to the ground for the first 3 months i had set. But before they blew they drove pretty good it wasnt bouncy at all like it is now and the back shocks still very stiff. Im going to give them another try and ill keep on updating.

So would you recommend getting them? The roads here aren't too entirely bad, and when they are, I take it easy on the car.
