Ah, I always assumed more timing helped spool. Oh well, its not very laggy anyway.

In order to spool a turbo up as fast as possible you want to create as much heat and pressure possible, there are three ways to do it.

1. Advance timing during spool-up
2. Lean AFR's during spool-up
3. Considerably retard timing during spool-up

Retarding timing during spool-up will generate heat and pressure but you'll also sacrifice low end torque and lose overall power. So, as I mentioned a few posts up, lean AFR's and increase timing advance during spool-up.

Right, you did say that already. In that last log of mine, does that timing and AFR look okay? I don't have knock showing anything less than 2500rpm and 30% so how much is too much?
