Hi, I have been registered here forever but this is my first post. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the folowing EBay high pressure actuator for the 16g, 14b etc.

Turbo Actuator DSM 1G EVO 1~3 VR-4 TD05H 14B 16G 22 psi | eBay

The price is very reasonable but I don't want to spend the money if they are rubbish.

I did a search but haven't come up with anything other than people modifying the stock actuator.

Thanks,

Marcus

Thanks for the quick replies. I am already running 26 psi with an MBC on an Evo2 16G (yes, Evo 2) but it bascially spikes to 26 psi and drops off. I assume this is due to the exhaust pressure forcing the flapper open although it could also just be due to the flow limit of the turbo. I figure with a stiffer actuator i will be able to hold boost a bit better.

I previously had an external gate on the car with open dump but I took it off because I got tired of the noise and want a simpler setup. I have been inspired by the FP turbos on the later Evos that still use internal wastegates but make good power and control boost accurately.

I'm not sure what's in my mod list but I am sure it is old and out of date. The car is an Evo I with Evo 8 rods and pistons, Evo 2 turbo, FP manifold, Evo 3 02 housing, 3" turbo back, HKS 264 cams, Evo 8ECU, 720cc injectors, water/meth injection, Hallman MBC and an intake pipe/K&N filter.
