I have an 89 colt gt and the turbo is just about spent so I bought an ebay E316g because I'm on a pretty tight budget. Well today I wanted to install it and i got the old turbo off and I noticed the water lines off the old turbo are too small for the 16g. Has anyone ran into this problem? Where can I get the appropriate lines? Or can I just run it with out the water lines (block them) to make it work. It's all apart in front of my house right now so any help will be greatly appreciated. :hellyeah:

You can run it with out the water lines, That will give you time to make a trip to Lowes or Home Depot for adapter fittings.

I dont have expierence with your specific turbo/car but I just installed a evo316g on my 2g last night and I had to bend my stock water lines a bit to get them to go on right get creative with it just dont go overboard and break them.

Now that I read your post again I think you may be refering to the diameter of the inlet to the turbo where the acualy water goes through if thats the case just go to a junk yard and grab some lines off a 2g. or order some offline/ebay etc
