I got a hard intake pipe install today, and now the car run like crap around 5-6000rpm(backfires and seems like it dont wanna go). Should I just hook up my old rubber piece and call it a day. It ran perfect before the install.

No, it doesn't have to be there. What could be happening (along the lines of what blkgst97 said) is you had a boost leak and a vacuum leak on the rubber snorkel canceling each other out on load.

Just do the test.

Does the rubber snorkel have the ports for the vacuum hoses plugged? Does the new intake have them plugged? Are you getting a good seal on the MAF > Snorkel coupler? Snorkel > Turbo coupler?

Rubber and hard pipe hoses were plugged. I hooked back up the rubber and its fine again. The hard pipe, not so much

Im still in question of the form of tuning....if its not dying off throttle without recirc it must have something.

^^^not always true, when I was young and dumb, mine wasent recirculated for a while and it never died, and I had no sort of tune, actually thought it ran fine, that is until I did recirculate it and I ran MUCH better, but as others have said just because you say it runs fine...fix the BOV and recirculate it, and do a BLT!!

Ok I see your running dsmlink v2. Did you do a log with stock intake and 1 with the hard pipe like was suggested earlier. See if anything pops out. How are you plugging the holes on the hard pipe vs. How they ar e plugged on the rubber pipe. If the hard pipe even has provisions for them. Have you done the boost leak test that has been suggested by many people.have you tested the maf or check the readings from the maf on link. Pictures, logs and where you are at will help us to help you.

He is admitting to not running his blow off valve recirculated then admitted it runs fine when he put the tube back on. Clearly he is an idiot that won't listen to other peoples advice and logic.

His car is running like shit because the blow off valve isn't able to work properly. Not having it recirulated is the reason why his car has a boost leak in the first place. The reason why it's worse now than before is the hard piping isn't ballooning.

Do a boost leak test right this second!

You're right, but he didn't say that he hooked the bov back up and it worked fine, what he said was that he hooked up his old rubber intercooler piping and it ran fine. But yea you definitely need to recirculate your bov, and hook up all other needed lines and do a boost leak test, no matter how fine it runs with rubber line and bov unhooked.

Wow if you read my post you would've seen the bov wasnt ever cirulated with rubber or hard piping and my car dosent run like shit with uncirulated bov(runs like a champ), only with hard pipe at about 5-6000rpm. Boost leak came from the cheap plastic that came with intake pipe.:shhh:
