Hi guys im new to the forum and need some help. I have a 91 tsi AWD that wont start. Coincidentally it started after I installed my new walbro 255 and evo 550 injectors. It just clicks but wont turn over. Fuel pump is on and everything else works just wont turn over. Some people say its starter or selenoid but its just strange how after i installed these mods it cranked over once now not at all. I just bought a brand new battery for some reasurance with no luck. I hate to pull the starter but looks like im going to have to. Any other suggestions? Is it the selenoid thats clicking or the starter? Its a pretty loud click and seems like starter might be engaging. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks ~ Jason:ohdamn:

its clicking from the starter/selenoid area. Everything is wired up fine. It actually cranked over a few times after the pump install but then wouldnt after that. Maybe starter was on its last leg? Just making sure theres not something small/stupid im missing before ripping out the starter. Fuel pump/spark/lights everything else works. Checked fuses/relays and good. Looks like ill have to take off starter and get it tested?!

yea, I tried hitting with hammer...putting in gear and rocking it with no luck. Wires look good. Im pretty sure its the starter thats making the loud click but maybe the selenoid?!

Thank you very much for the info. Im going to remove starter and selenoid tonight and get it tested. Hopefully new assembly will fix it. Im pretty sure its a coincidence how it this problem arose after fuel pump/injector install. Thanks again guys! ~ Jason
