Does this look like a good Holset?

My buddy has a Holset HX-35 7 blade right now that he bought but doesn't want to put it on his truck. He decided that after he bought it he was going to rebuild the stock HY that is on it.
He offered me this Holset for $400. It will come with a re-build kit. I told him he can take the hot side off since I'll be getting the BEP housing.

My question is..... With the rebuild kit does this look like it would be worth the $400 I would be spending?

He's not doing you any favor- that thing is QUITE rough for $400.

I've bought HX35 cores in similar condition for under $200.

For Chinese garbage....Genuine Holset kits are up to $95.

I would be afraid to see what the inside of that turbo looks like if the compressor blade is that gunked up

He's Army? I would talk him down about $250. Its not worth $400 at all.

I got my hx35 for $190 shipped on ebay with 112k miles no shaft play

Looks like the blades were soaked in coolant, I would skip that.
