Pretty much, without the cat you have the hydrocarbon emissions, and with the cat the car will produce greenhouse gases. Studies have shown that newer vehicles with very efficient emission systems unintentionally produce high amounts of ammonia. So I guess it's either make smog, contribute to global warming, or just general un-wellness.

Of course, this info *may* come from people that think all gasoline powered vehicles should be scrapped, it may be biased.

Causes a different kind of pollution... And causes you to loose power! Indiana does not care about it, so just whack it out of there and weld in a solid pipe, then get your money back for that cat that you do not need.
