Not sure yet i guess, need to squeeze 4 people- 3 in the front of a moving truck, one in the eclipse... The hookup is the type that the car is pulled behind. Its the only setup we can get for now. We are going to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Off the coast of Cancun. SO i consider it Central America, cuz its so friggin far. We have a summer home there.

I am not very mechanically inclined and removing the cluster seems like a huge project. Plus im sure it will never go back the same! LOL.

The speed sensor idea seems the most logical. Just got to find it.

Also, i want to be able to drive the car a few blocks from the house to the garage, while having the speed sensor disconnected, thats why i ask if it is driveable when its disconnected on an Automatic. It will be a huge pain in the ass to get the moving truck dolly to my garage without a driveable vehicle.

I think it will be more comfortable sitting in the Eclipse than up front in the van!

Look, you dont have to find the cluster.. Its two screws around the bezel (at the top)(then just pull it out, their are 3-4 clips holding it in). Then 4 screws hold the cluster in, then it just pops out. If you need to drive it, simply put it back in. There are NO wire connections you need to remove.

ohh ok. Thanks!!! I didnt know it was that easy.

Thanks! ;)

How are you going to run the A/C?????????

whats you car a rs gs gst gsx ??? and yeah you might be the hottest you have ever been on the way down there .

never mind didnt read the 1st post sorry ;)

Yah, just take your cluster out, like two screws and two clips on the lower corners if i remeber right. I drove for a solid month or more w/ NO cluster of any kind. Your car doesn't know though you might be f'ed if something bad happens and you won't find out until you SOL.

thank you dave99gst I have my correct miles showing now :thumb: :thumb:

And onto related news......

It's been reported that odometer rollbacks on mitsubishi eclipses and eagle talons have skyrocketed 60%......Officials are unsure of why the sudden increase in the last few months and investigations will be ongoing :p

um, your rear tires will have a lot of wear compared to the fronts.. haha
