Did they forget to put in the oil squirters??

I just got disassembleing my 6 bolt shortblock, from dsmgraveyard after reading multiple horrible reviews on this forum about the company, combined with first hand expeirence on how slow they like to ship everything out.

I'm not seeing any oil squirters in this block, aren't they inline with the cylinder, pointing up to hit the crown? I see a blank thread next to each cylinder, where I think they screw into, but there's nothing there, or capped off. Are the pathways supposed to be capped off if you remove your squirters? I'm so mad because it even says on my reset,- WITH OIL SQUIRTERS

here's a pic :(

"Hey, did you guys make a mistake?"

"We don't make mistakes."

"But I specifically asked for oil squirters."

"And you got them."

"No, I didn't. I got holes."

"And what do you think oil does when it comes out of a hole?"

This engine would spin all the bearings and destroy your turbo the first time you start the car because all the oil would of bled off thru those holes. That is the main oil passage into the engine there.

Not surprising after reading all the horror stories in the reviews.

My question is this, Why do the moderator's of THIS site aloow these guy's to post there services on here if there that terrible? I know if a private seller would pull this type of sales they would've been banned A LONG TIME AGO. So to the MOD's WHY?? I myslef will never do any transaction's with this company. To the OP sorry to hear you got sh#tty service from them AGAIN. good luck in the future

In the past there have been threads on that issue, we have vendor feedback for that reason, igina

just, call john monday and see what happened.

One reason. They pay to advertise on here. It's turning into... dare I say.... Newtiburon.com. Although here we at least have some form of warning that these vendors suck, moderation keeps it around because they're paying to support the site. Stupid if you ask me, but if anyone knows about the whole Newtiburon.com mess this isn't nearly as bad. The management of Nt.com was actually deleting all the bad reviews of members to try and keep their paying vendors there. Lots of people were banned for calling them out on it.

Oil squirters are good for endurance engine, i would run them with forged pistons, stock ones doesnt have the crown strength to handle high temps, they improve the reliability, of most engines. Bse gives you more oil pressure.

Patrick asked a simple question here, whether or not the company that built his motor forgot to put in oil squirters. The motor is built and the works been done, now he needs to contact the respective engine builder and figure out what went wrong and if they are willing to fix it.

ALL vendors can make mistakes, its all about how they go about correcting their mistakes to satisfy the customer thats important. Keep the vendor reviews and bashing out of this thread or else its going to get locked, we have a vendor review section of the site for a reason.

If anyone has any further questions for me, that aren't relevant to the topic of the thread, shoot me a PM.

You got it. Whether the staff agrees that certain vendors are on-board or not is beside the point.

You're watching the Superbowl- McDonalds advertises a new burger called the McShitz. You go on to the internet to check out the reviews for the McShitz and everyone says it's a fine-tasting burger but it gave them the shits for two days afterward.

You're curious, so you go buy one yourself- and you shit for two days afterward, vowing to never buy another McShitz. Doesn't change the fact that McDonalds paid $1,000,000 to advertise that burger during the Superbowl and reserve the right to keep advertising the McShitz until everyone has tried one and shit their brains out until eventually the burger has become unpopular and disappears from their menu.

As you can see, problems have a way of fixing themselves with time.

Thanks everyone, I knew what the oil squirters looked like, I was just hoping maybe someone could see something that I wasn't seeing. I guess they totallly forgot me :(

I'm glad but I'm totally frustrated. I'm glad that I actually DID find something out of place inside the assembled shortblock I purchased from them, after worrying about the insides reading horrible engine assembley stories, so much I decided I had to check it out or else I wouldn't feel right. :notgood: :(

I'm totally not sure if I'm qualified anything back from them since this order was in september of 2010... :ohdamn: But I do have my original resete from the package, I mean how am I suposed to know if they made sure to put the squirters in? I thought that's why I was paying them extra.

I feel like a complete idiot for not finding the vendors section on THIS forum, I know I did research before I bought the block, and people on other forums were talking good about the frankensteins ect...and through plenty of google searches, I couldn't fid any better deals then what they had to offer, other great places I wish I would have gone to instead were not showing up...and the graveyard site is just so attention grabbing for newbs like me, so I seriously thought it was a good idea

another thing i was wanting to atleast confirm, if someone can take a look at these, are these 2G pistons with 1G rods? They all say 63DT1 on top of the piston, and G60 on the rods. Just had to ask....because of how it is with these people.

Id just buy some used squirters off the thread here. I sold my oem ones for like 30 or 40 bucks. Sorry to hear what happened.

Before you do that, please check all the torque values and everything else. I bought a shortblock from a mitsubishi tech and it looked good, but I wanted to check it out just in case. Turns out the rod caps were mixed up and the crank was hit when the pistons were being installed. If I didn't spend an extra day to check everything over, I would have had a motor that lasted only a couple miles.

i got a 96 gst outside with a 7 bolt. bought it with a spun bearing, piston says 63DTF1. rod says G6D. ill try to get a pic up

Thanks for the pic of the 7 bolt piston and rod. I was just wondering since I didn't see anything when I looked up the rods, but info for the pistons came up.
Apparently the 1G rods were thicker, was hoping maybe someone had a comparison pic.

so don't you need 4 squirter pieces, and 4 banjo bolts for each cylinder?? what exactly threads inside the block?

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/cylinder-head-short-block/388770-what-pistons-rods-these-pics.html#post152417996

In addition to the thread above, the pics below show a 7-bolt rod (2G piston) on the left and 6-bolt rod (6-bolt turbo piston) on the right.

Assuming you aren't able to get things squared away otherwise, you either need to purchase oil squirters, crush washers, and banjo bolts/check valve for those four holes or plug them. The banjo bolts would thread inside the block. Here you can see the squirter itself, from which I'm sure you can visualize the rest of how they are put together: EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts.

The crush washers are Mitsubishi part number MF660034; there will be two of these per banjo bolt/check valve, which are part number MD050249.

I really appreciate everyones help. I've contacted Jon and he understands the.situation. hes looking over the pics and the video I made, to confirm if the block needs to be machined / tapped for squirters. Can anyone tell me if I need the machine work? Are the squirters easy to install?
