I was just wondering why some people ditch the oil squirters in the block. I know that with forged pistons the crowns of the pistons don't need the extra lubrication and cooling which is what the squirters do, but is there an advantage to removing them or is it just to get rid of the unnecessary? Also, can you get rid of them if you're running any kind of forged pistons or is it only when you have really good ones?
