Already did it. Gonna work out great I think.

But just curious, anyone else have to do this.
Bought all mounts on extreme PSI. Car is a ‘95 FWD. I’m assuming the AWD needed the extra bolt.
The FWD did not. I had to cut it then grind an indent in it to clear the cap of a bolt so the mount will sit flat.

I’ll post a picture.
It’s on all 3 transmissions that I have. So def not something someone else did.

I’m 99% sure it’s a mount for an AWD that I made work for a FWD. It won’t be until Friday or Saturday when I can post a picture.

Just throwing out ideas... but it sounds like you are right. I used the same factory mounts on my FWD and then my AWD when I did the conversion, so it didn't seem right that they would be different.

Their website only has AWD mount listed. So you def dont have a mount for a FWD. I am surprised you had to cut it, I guess ill wait to see your picture. My memory isn't that good.

I only know of the auto and manual difference, never knew there was a fwd and awd difference before? Since the manuals use the same casing apart from the backside for awd the outside top is the same.

Same with autos, the awd and fwd brackets are the same as i had this before on the auto.

So yeah interested to see this too. As far as my memory goes i remember an auto and manual part number, never awd or fwd numbers

I just google DSM manual trans mount 30 seconds ago.
Now I’m thinking it’s for a manual that I made work for an auto. Lol. Wtf...

Here’s pics regarding what I had to do. Highlighted blue and red for the two different cuts / grinding sessions.
