. can the belt go on without removing crank sprocket? btw crank sprocket bolt is normal thread correct? lefty loosey righty tighty deal?
and the transmission is in 5th gear. ill see if i can get it all done.
.Crankshaft sprocket tool
I just made mine long enough to hit the floor and hold it still. I also made it with a drill and a grinding wheel. Clamp the harmonic balancer to the piece of metal, drill two holes, grind out between them until it fits on the crank sprocket. Make sure it bolts down snug or you'll shear the harmonic balancer bolts.
had a buddy step on the brakes while it was in 5th gear and hit it with the electric impact. my NEWEST problem is on the exaust side of the block. there is that philipps plug so you can retime the balance shaft, I had to drill it out, How long is that plug? and why cant i get a thin screwdriver or rod in there more than 3/4th of an inch to 1 inch? i can get the balance shaft to hang up on phillips screwdriver and point to the timing mark, thenw hile holding screwdriver in place turn balance shaft counter clockwise 180* I am tryin to figure out what in the hell is going on so i can get the balance shaft timed so i can make sure the oil sprocket and crank is timed properly before putting new belts and such on.If you notice in the pics the balance shaft belt doesn't turn your oil pump the timing belt does. So how'd you lose the pump?the balance shaft belt is snapped in half. I lost my oil pump, but already replaced it.
And, is the elimination kit going to be difficult to install myself?
