Updated: here my thought out install on the cts-v calipers.
To make this work out you have to take a little bite out of the caliper aluminum housing. The caliper will be clock down a bit on 2g but on 1g you have the option to clock it upward by flip the bracket up side down there's a example picture below. As for the calipers clearance against the inside wall\spoke of the rims is has 10mm better clearance then the evo 8 brembo because it sit 10mm further back. If you got ~10mm or more of clearance between the stock AWD calipers and the spokes with your 18" rims then you pass the clearance test. The cts calipers and evo,sti all share the same brake pads too.
These brackets is cut from 1\2" steel. If you like to try this out please pm and I can get these custom cut for.

Here's a 1 1\8" holesaw with a 5\16 deep socket for centering and aligning the drill.

This is where one of the mounting ears over lap the caliper. Bolt up the bracket from behind the caliper and use the bracket as an alignment tool for drilling. Use the free hole on the bracket beside the calipers arm as an alignment hole to stick the drill in. once every things anlign you can start cutting slowly until you have a good bit. you can also counter sink\port that section out too but Drill it out with hole saw is much quicker and fail proof, either way it should cut like butter since its aluminum.

Lay two spacers to flush out that surface due to those uneven rings.

1g has more top clearance on there knuckles so you can flip the brackets up side down kinda like this bracket to clock the calipers upward.
