I am waiting for an email back from Brembo on the piston size info as well as the overall caliper size.

well we gotta find out the piston diameter of the rears is then and what the spacing is from bolt hole to hole.
For my 1G AWD, I bought the CTSV Brembo calipers from GMpartsdirect.com part# 89047726 and 89047727. They are $130 each. I used Kmv's bracket kit he offers and I bought Evo X rotors. Everything fits good. As far as wheels...you need to run a set up that is designed and offset to clear big brakes like Evo X's, STI's and 370Z's...so mostly concave wheels. Pics shortly.

when the pads are worn-down the stock DSM master cylinder may not have enough fluid to compensate (potential loss of braking).
Don't scare the poor guy with your speculation, people have been running evo calipers on DSM since 2005.
Evo curb weight :3300lbs
CTS-V curb weight 4250lbs
A cts-v is almost 1000lbs heavier than a fully loaded 2g AWD much less a FWD 1g. Evos and dsm's are much closer in weight. It might be something to look into.
99% of people dont and will never need brakes like this but I wont start that argument, just validate a good question.

I have been reading all about this swap and a buddy of mine has a cts-v and i was looking at it and it seems that the rear calipers are larger. i found a spec sheet for the front brakes on ls1 tech but i cant seem to find one for the rears? they also seem to be less expensive, here is the part number: 89047742
What do you guys think?

Ok so I started driving the car with the stock 1" master cylinder. It's mushy as hell. I had already planned on upgrading the master cylinder but I just wanted to see how it was with our stock one. I put in a 1 1/16" master cylinder out of a 2000-something galant, bled it and they feel great. The brake pedal feel is a little more stiff then the stock 2 piston calipers but like anything else, after a few days you get used to it. For the die hard track guys...no I don't track my car or intend to. I daily drive it. I just wanted to have a little more braking power, look good behind the wheels, and do something different. I'm thinking of making brackets for the rear to run the matching 4 piston rears. I'm just not sure yet on how I'm going to have an e-brake with them.
