Oh YEA!...hey just to let you know, you inspired me to get a spyder gs-t soon and get it to your standards/Twins! haha...great build!

^^ Nice, go for it man!! :thumb:

On another note.. IT RUNS!!!! Big, BIG thanks to Mr Peepers and SlantedJ for the help tonight. J gave me a hand getting link to work on my Mac among other things, and Peepers is the link/SD man!!

Unfortunately we ran into some charging issues so I wasnt able to drive the car. Have to take the alternator in tomorrow and possibly get it replaced. I hope that is the case... Big sigh of relief after we fixed a couple boost leaks and figured out that a couple sensors werent plugged in :ohdamn: It felt so good to know that my wiring was done right and everything worked.. Ill tell you what, lifter tick is bugging me more-so than ever!!! AAHHHHHHHHH IT RUNS.. Just so happy right now!

Whats going on fellas.. Started shooting some wires to figure out this damn charging issue.. Found out that one of the wires in the alt plug that is supposed to be hot with the key on isnt.. So, now its time to dig back into the harness and find out why.. In the mean time I mocked up the holset on my other motor to start making my dumps and exhaust..

Thats what I forgot to take a picture of, damnit!! Id say an inch or more. I never got to really measure it, thats just an eyeball guesstimate. definitely more room than there is between my wastegate now on the 20g set up! I can actually move the alternator through the whole adjustment range and not even come close to touching anything.. Ill take some more pictures tomorrow!

Hey did you guys weld your own Vband things on your guys' exhaust?? Im thinking of it.. Or just going until my first set of hangars and putting a turndown and saying ef a full exhaust! haha

Go ahead call it a racecar!! haha Kenny is the only one who argues cause his IS the racecar! :p

Hey where did you get your vbands from?

I only got about a half hour to work on this yesterday, some family things came up and I had to run..

I rotated one of the pieces slightly and made a little more room for the filter!

Im sure I will have to do some more cutting and adjusting to make it right, but at least I have an idea where I have it going now. As of right now Im pretty sure the LICP will not fit, that the dp is coming forward too much. Ill have to adjust it over and in some more. We'll see.

My car is a streetcar!! Don't forget to weld in a bung for your wideband. Also wrap your downpipe or your alternator is going to hate you.

Hey guys, started fabbin up my waste gate dumps the other day.. Everything looked all gravy until I realize that the front roll mount is where it is.. You'll see.. I have to make a couple changes.. PICS!!

Dont knock it, Im still learning! :p Im a dumbass and didnt order any 90* bends of this same diameter.. :ohdamn:

I couldnt run the passenger side dump under the turbo like I wanted due to the IC pipe and oil drain..

Bolted it up in the car today! I left everything all tacked together just incase I had to change some things.. And Im glad I did because the passenger side one was dumping right on the mount.. I didnt get a pic of it though

Hey fellas, thought I should update this. As of tuesday night the motor had 800 miles and spun a rod bearing while dialing in the Hx35. I guess 23 psi was too much for my forged bottom end and ACL bearings.. FML!! Anyways this is how it sits as of yesterday..

Hey guys, last week I was positive I spun a bearing in the car. Well yesterday I was able to actually inspect the bearing. Yup sure did. Pretty damn bad too. The video was right before I started tearing the motor out.. Pics are just from yesterday..

Car is back up and running on the stock short block with all other mods.

Ok, not trying to be a douche here.. This is a real honest question, why do so many of these engines get rebuilt only to spin bearings within 1k of driving? Did you do something wrong?

NO!:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:, and some more,:cry::cry::cry::cry:

O.k., got that out of my way and yelled outside, I haven't checked up on this and you in awhile, so I feel super bad that this happened! Anyway, Good luck on the rebuild once again & have a quick & easy recovery.:pray::pray:

To the post above, many rebuilds fail on the first 5k or less for only very few reasons, "Clearance", "Specs", and obvious little things. If you do not check, double check, and check some more, than it will happen to you period.

I really dont have a direct answer to that pertaining to my situation. It could have been a number of thing. Although I did take as many precautions to keep everything clean as hell (best I could, I mean Im not working in a damn bubble) clearances were spot on as per the maintenance manuals along with the 4g63 specific book I bought.

Now, the only thing I can think of would be that I did use a used crank. Perhaps that journal was worn or not round. Hell it could have been perfect and I somehow got some contamination in it during the build.. IDK..

Im one to learn from my mistakes. This is a lesson learned.. I wanted to build the motor myself. If it worked awesome, if not, well then I needed something to improve on. Now I have to get a new crank, bearings and another Eagle rod.. Oh well shit happens.. This is why I kept my spare motor intact.
