I know there is a 2gb at the sturtevant yard. I just dont have the money to buy them right now. Which is why I wanted to trade someone.

NICK: No Im not getting rid of the side skirts.. Thanks for the kind words! Feels good to be inspirational!

UPDATE: Got the motor out of the car.. Again... haha!! Took me two damn days. Just couldnt really find the motivation to really get going on it! Its hard to take a car apart that still runs and drives great!! Plus I hate working on a car that has a torn CV boot.. gahh that pissed me off!! Whelp heres some pics.

When I first got the holset on the car yes it was on I believe 10 or 15lb springs. My first WOT logs I was seeing 12.6psi.. The car felt OK, stock ish.. My 20g with no tune seemed to pull quite a bit harder. I was seeing that boost level at 3800 RPM.

I use to come on this site everyday just to read your updates. Inspirational. I have the same car but in different color. Keep the updates coming! I'll finally start working on mines very soon after almost three years of it sitting around.

^^ Glad you enjoyed my build! Feels good to be someones inspiration.

On a build note, there isnt much to be updated. Ive been pretty low on funds and been looking for a job for a while so the car is just sitting there. Itll be running by spring though.

I just found this build and this car looks great! I wish i would have taken my build in a similar direction. Maybe i will get to see it at Automotion this year. I know how you feel with wanting a car that looks unique to your personality. I do regret stripping the stock look away though.

Hey, are you sure your bottom end clearance where correct? i don't see why it would spun a bearing... When you take you engine for machining you need to tell them what PTW, main bearing clearance, rod bearing clearance, piston ring gaps and so on. Never use stock clearance on a modified car AKA bigger turbo making over 400awhp.

You might already know this just trying to help, because i see that error done over and over.

Hey Kid, sorry I havent seen this in a while! When I assembled the engine I followed this book >> [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Max-Performance-Mitsubishi-Engines-Design-Performance/dp/1932494626]How to Build Max-Performance Mitsubishi 4G63t Engines (S-A Design) (Performance How-To): Robert Bowen: 9781932494624: Amazon.com: Books[/ame] All clearances were within spec according to this so I really have no idea why the bearing failed.. Debris perhaps? Regardless, next engine is being built by a semi local place that builds Mike Reichen's engines. That'll will hopefully be a while. Going to push the stock 7 bolt :D

Looking good, glad to hear you did the swap. I am about to go As deep into my 95 talon tsi as you were. Keep it up and keep the up dates Coming.

Thanks man. I see you're only in fort, thats not too far away! I used to work up there.

UPDATE

Had the motor out all winter with plans of some upgrades. However funds were pretty tight so all I did was freshen up the lower end. Gaskets and seals all around.

Got the car all back together and no spark, no fuel.. FML. Ill get it figured out.

nice yea we should meet up all of us Kenny, matt, and chris and you. I should be getting mine this wk from storage.

hah yea chris is my girl friends friends bf. I hang out with chris all the time LOL.

Well, suppose Ill update this.. My ECU was able to be fixed. Got it back within a 4 business days and was up and running. Upon pulling the car out of the garage I noticed one of my wheels was flat.. Turned out a sidewall in one of my 18'' wheels decided to take a crap. So, I took my FDs off my 1g and put them on the spyder. :D

Oh and ahhhhhhh Lookie lookie!!!

this is my fake smile/im excited thumbs up!

So heres whats been going on in Crash's garage the past couple days.

The previous owner must have cut the bumper for some dumb ass reason. It was on a N/t car so maybe a huge filter??
bumperfix_zps5cc6a186.jpg

So, with the trimmings from the bumper to clear the FMIC I made three separate pieces to fill the gap. Heated and formed a little to look more OE. Use a 3m bumper repair adhesive.

After another layer of the black adhesive and a few layers of some bumper repair finish mud and a bunch of sanding. Were almost ready for primer.

I'm digging it. I can't wait to see this thing at the shoot out again this year. Last year there were only 2-3 spyders, this year there will be 2 2GB AWD Talon spyders.

If you have the front plate bracket, you really aught to sell it to me.

Man i love your build. Im thinkin bout puttin the 2gb spoiler on my spyder. And i like how yours looks. I figured they would just loom out of place but u sir have proved me wrong :) and im glad you did. Lookin forward to seeing what gets done next for ya.
