Just came across this build yesterday and very excited for you to get this thing ironed out. You have a LOT of the same parts I’ve bought or planning to for my build so I’m paying close attention to this now for the learning curve. Keep up the good work and don’t give up bro!:talon:

So worked on the overheating issue. I replaced my fan and wrapped my wastegate and dump pipe. I also put some gold foil on the back of the fan and my lower intercooler pipe. I them installed a piece a DEI form-a-shield on the turbo to help cut down on the heat hitting the fan. I took the car out and the temperature climbed but I didn't get a CEL for overheating this time after a hard pull. However in typical DSM fashion I started smelling something burning and noticed a trail of smoke behind the car. I rushed home trying to avoid a tow and major disaster at the same time, to discover I had a massive oil leak. The fittings on the oil pressure sending units blew out for the 5th or sixth time. At this point I am abandoning the tee setup I got from the forums. My plan is to get a 3/8" BSPT to 1/8" NPT adapter and move the AEM sensor to one of the large ports on the OFH and put the factory sensor back in its original location. The only thing I can think of is the set of fittings I'm running is too long and vibrating bad under hard load, as every time

they leak when I go to remove them the 1/4" male-to-male fitting snaps in half.

Similar thing happened to me, so I put red Loctite on my threads; it's also what prompted me to get an oil pressure gauge with warning light.
It weird, this setup will not hold at all. The threads never back out or get loose, the oil just blows right through them. I tried all different combinations, aluminum fittings, brass fittings, Teflon tape, high temp sealant, bare threads you name it.

Is it a thread issue? I know the housing is bspt and sensor and fittings are usually npt.

I'm running the correct BSPT to NPT adapter, I think the setup is just long and is vibrating like crazy or touching the frame when it flexes.

That setup needs improvement. The leverage on the OFH with vibration alone would give me cause for concern.
I don't like the setup now either, but at the time I copied from a thread on here. I'm moving the AEM sensor to one of the 3/8" ports with a 3/8" BSPT to 1/8" NPT adapter and hoping that setup will hold up.

So it definitely vibrated itself apart again. I got under the car and the whole assembly was wiggly, and when I pushed on it the 1/4" union fitting snapped off again. I relocated all the sensors now, but we had rain all day yesterday so I was unable to fully test it. I lost 3 quarts of oil, so fingers crossed nothing was hurt, but so it it all seems fine.

Extended test drive today was a success for the oil pressure sending units, no leaks at either! The secondary fan held its own and didn't melt this time, temperature only hit 240 twice. However it is a DSM and once I parked it in the garage something else developed a very slow drip between around the oil filter housing/ oil pan area. I'm saving that for another day
