Trans: I am unable to move the shifter left or right. I took of the cotter pin holding the line on the part that connects to the trans. The linkage moves back and forth fine as does the shifter can move left and right again. So I am guessing it is either that bracket which connects to the trans, or something inside the trans itself.

Overheating: AC fan works but blows fuse after a while. Although it was connected to this weird rusty box(by two of the four wires) which I am guessing monitored engine bay temperature. I unplugged it and I'll see if that helps. Otherwise maybe go up a bit on the fuse amperage.

The normal fan is hard to push and has a lot of resistance. Guessing that needs to be replaced.

When it comes to the shifting issue have you been shifting it hard and driving the hell out of it? If so you may have bent the shift fork. if its not it that you could have bent the bracket where the cable mounts as you said. as for the overheating it sounds like you cooling fan is bad it shouldnt have much resistance, its only an electric fan after all. do you actually use your A/C (does it work?) if you dont use it or if it doesnt work you can wire your A/C fan up to run with your cooling fan. that can be a temp fix until you get a new fan for cooling. im not sure what that rusty box thing you described, i would go look but im in iraq so i cant exactly walk outside to the driveway ya know. I hope you can get something useful out of this and good luck man.
