Ok so I am having trouble connecting to DSMLink on my 1g. I have narrowed it down to pin 1 on the diagnostic port, which shouln't have continuity to ground, but it does. I tried replacing the whole wire from pin 1 of the diagnostic port to pin 1 on the ECU. I am still getting continuity to ground.
When I unplug the ECUs first connector, the connector with pin 1, and test for continuity, it test fine. Two days ago it worked, but now it wont connect. It isn't the software or the drivers, the cable shows up on the device manager and the light on the cable blinks.
About the car, 92 TSi AWD, 2.6l, 1mm oversized valves, dual valve springs, FP3 cams, dual 255lph pumps, FIC bluemax 1650cc, jm fab race smim, powerplus 75mm tb, DNP manifold, Tial wastegate, hx40 pro with bep t3 housing.
