Comparing Evo III's

Looking to upgrade soon.

thinking about these choices:
comparing prices and performance. what do you guys think? (all prices from dsmparts.com)

Evo III 16g $549
GT 16g Ported 34mm flapper $539
small 16g $539
big 16g $585

just looking for some adivice. right now im on a walbro 255, aeromotive fpr, and looking to run 550's. no link yet. just SAFC for now. power goals are about mid-high 12's. please help.

I personally had the evo 3GT and must say i loved it many would say its a fake but it did me good i just upgraded to a 20g but the GT is in one of my friends car. I have an awd and it pulled hard until redline. My friends car is a fwd and all he does is roast his tires through 3rd. For the price and all the standard porting and upgrades it made sense to me. I also bought it from tc.com they had great prices and decent cust. serv. Any of the turbos you listed will make you happy so good luck!

see i was thinking about the gt. but ive been reading so much bad stuff about them its unbeleivable but then i hear people that have had it on there cars say nothing but good things about it. i dont know.

When the real thing is the same price as another version, buy the real thing. Turbochargers.com has them available here:

It's a no brainer as far as I'm concerned.

There are a lot of people that run the GT and do just fine, but there are just way too many bad reviews for me to ever want to take a chance with it. Its a gamble, maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones and it will run fine for a long time. Then again maybe you won't and you'll be out $549. The real Evo 3 16g is definately the way to go.
