Coil pack MOUNTING OTHER than stock??

Im looking for a new place to mount my coilpack. I have a 1g swap in my 95 tsi. I dont wanna mount it in the stock location, something different. Maybe like on the firewall where the egr solenoids were. Im just looking for somewhere i catching... Maybe you guys can post some pictures on where the location of your coilpack...THANKS.

me 2, my MSD wires are way longer than stock and i want a more cleaner look and i wanted to know if it was all good to mount them a bit farther away and of course ground them

Of course it is, go search the gallery for options, the one I like is like a bracket off the IM but made so its easy to take off.
I find spending hours clicking through the gallery is worth it in the different things people come up with =)

Well do you really need the plate that the coilpacks and the igniter are bolted up to?...If not then i can make some kind of bracket...

No you don't need the plate the coil pack is mounted to. I have an after market Intake manifold, and pulled the bracket off and mounted my Coil Pack and PTU to the side of the manifold, and i have seen pictures of the coilpack mounted to the fire wall, strut bars and about anywhere you could want to mount is...I will see if i can find the pictures for you

I bent the one mounting tab and stuffed the pack down the side almost like the guy above, but used the one engine mount bolt at the mount spot.

Here is my coilpack, another option i would imagine you could probably modify the stock bracket a little and mount it to the inside of the fender
