How did you ultimately choose the 14b and HX35 turbos? This isn't anything i'm doing right now, but i want to understand how to size them so that i can start buying stuff over time for my compound build.

In 99gst racer's thread I think there is a short post about selecting by flow rate, that you want the one to have double flow rate.
You can also think of spool times...
You will want your larger turbo to start a hard spool just before the small turbo hits its wastegate setting. It should feel like a continuous gain in boost, you shouldn't feel it drop off. You want a nice overlap.

      Hello,
I followed your issue with FrozenB A2W intercooler but as you didn't updated the tread, did you finaly manage to fix your high IAT temp?
I admit i just registered to ask you this :)

Thanks you and have an ice WE !

I tried a much larger resevoir. But what I did this year was angled my heat exchanger so air could enter the engine bay. The exhaust was heatsoaking everything. I just did drag passes in 30degC weather. And I was getting 60deg intake Temps with no resevoir and lots of meth. Injection. The large reaevoir I ran last year only helped so much..I'm currently running on looped lines with no resevoir.

        Thanks for the reply!
You mean 60deg Celsus after intercooling ?
So the reservoir seems not the be the solution for you.
I have an S13 CA18DET, exhaust is on the side not in front so i may not have your issue but as i plan on going A2W IC, i searched the whole internet for "TRUE" resuslt and test, and your whole post was very interesting.

I read you used 5psi of boost, as more psi means more heat, i'm really wondering if your IC design is not too small and your cooling power at the limit.

The problem would be having high air temp but low water temp, this would clearly means the heat transfer isn't efficient enough.
Thanks again ! (And sorry if my english is not very good) :)

Hey you are still running a Hy-35 on a cheap ebay manifold? How is it, I am trying to decide between a B16g on a stock manifold or buy a ebay manifold like yours for my HY-35. I want to play on the street and worry that it may lag just bit too much. I also like your idea with the MS and the 8 injectors! does the CyClone manifold have injector bungs too?
