Coil On Plug setup - changing plugs is such a hassle

So I've found that to prevent misfiring I have to stretch the springs (that connect the coil to the plug - not sure if they're technically springs, but you know what I mean) so they stick out of the boot. It works well for good spark but it's a pain in the ass getting them on. Seems to me there has to be a better solution. I dread changing my plugs now.

Anyone have any tricks for solving this? (yeah, I know, go back to coil/wires... haha)
 
Sorry, no tips for ya, but i would like to ask what prompted teh swap to COP? were you losing spark under boost? I made over 460 on stock coils with magnecore plugs. I've thought about COP setup, but can't justify it yet.
 
Fair enough for me. I would have gotten it too if i struck a deal on it some where. Are you running dual ignitors splitting the factory ign signals to each one?

Which coil packs are you actually using? If they are the type with a smaller opening for the plugs, then you will need to remove the small piece of the spark plug that you can remove (threads out) and you should be able to get the coils on easier. BUT if the inlet is large enough for the plug the way it is, then you just need to either trim the rubber isolator on the boot that goes over the plug. The thing to keep in mind is some of these COPs have coils off motorcycles, so they fit differently, some have coils from more recent cars, and they need to be "fitted" fort he 4G63 head.
