Hello my name is joe i have a 97 eagle talon tsi awd with lots of upgraded mods. i just got my slave cylinder and master cylinders replaces because they were leaking. as i picked it up from the garage and started driving home my clutch started slipping pretty bad. lets say for example... i was cruising in 3rd gear at 3000rpms and i gave it a little gas and brought her up to 6000rpms and the clutch was slipping so bad it barelly even moved. what i would like to know is what the problem may be and how much it would take to repair it. its not a stock clutch its is stage 3 slowboy racing with a lightened flywheel and short shifter. please feel free to help me out thanks!:hellyeah:

If I am reading that correctly it sounds like you had a shop replace your slave and master cylinders, and the problem started immediately after that, in which case you need to go back and have them take a look at it. Or check the clutch fluid level, then try bleeding the system yourself, that would be the starting point. Also is it the stock pressure plate? If the pressure plate is stock that could be the problem.

The hydraulic system won't prevent it from slipping, it will only cause it to slip if it's wearing. Sounds like your clutch is toast.

Please inform me of how it will prevent the TOB/Fork from releasing when it's a push style clutch. Natural state for the disc is to be clamped against the flywheel. The hydraulic system only DISENGAGES the clutch, it will naturally engage and the hydraulic system cannot prevent it from engaging.

thanks guys its going to my mechanic on monday to see what the problem is. if i need a new clutch i didnt want to take the stock clutch route obviously buy dont have the money to get another stage 3 clutch so i was thinking about getting an ACT 2600 does anyone recommend Advanced Clutch Technology clutch packages?

ACT is a good company, TONS of people here run them, I am on my second one no complants, there are a handfull of people that have had problems in the past, but seeing as how they are probably the most popular clutch, your bound to have some bad ones. I would not think twice about ordering another one for my car though, have been great to me so far.

yeah my stage 3 slowboy racing clutch is toast. real bummer dude my favorite clutch so far. im just putting in the ACT clutch for now until i get some money for another stage 3 or 4 slowboy clutch. Thanks for all your help guys

bring it back to the shop have them check the slave and master see if it is alignment if not its tosted time to get a stage 4 :)
