the other day my heater hose blew up on my way to work and antifreeze went everywhere. I replaced the hoses and went for a drive and now my clutch is slipping. The clutch never slipped before the hose blew up. Could antifreeze somehow got onto the flywheel and clutch? Is there anyway I can fix this short of removing trani to clean off with brake cleaner. Will the antifreeze eventualy burn off with more driving? Any suggestions?

Once it starts slipping its new clutch time. You can't really "fix" a slipping clutch.

so you think I need to replace eventhough the clutch is a couple years old and has very low miles on it.

I have no clue. I don't really have enough info to diagnosis it. Do you have problems getting into gears? Have you made sure your clutch is engaging properly? There's a lot that kills a clutch. I went throufh 6 in 8 months from a mechanic nkg knowing wtf he was doing.

the clutch shifts perfect, no grinding or anything bad. I think when my heater hose blew up antifreeze got onto flywheel because when I slam on throttle I can hear engine rev up, clutch is grabing a little and then a second or two later it realy grabs like it should. This is why I ask if I should just clean it off.

Climb under the car with some brake cleaner and remove that little shield so you can expose the flywheel and at least get some brake cleaner in the general area of the clutch and flywheel. Protect your eyes when doing this.

What clutch did you put in and did you have the flywheel step machined?
