Well I made it a total of 13 days of owning the car before something went wrong. The master cylinder for the clutch is spraying the fluid all over my floorboard. I removed it but was wondering if there is any way to rebuild it or if i need to just order a new one. Next thing is do i need to replace both the master and the slave cylinder or not. Finally are the 1g and 2g master cylinders the same because im getting ready to order some parts off a 2g car from someone and am wondering if i can just add that too the list.

Eh just replace it. It's recommended to replace both the slave & master at the same time, but you don't have to..it's recommended though. Just like changing your oil..you don't have to change your filter when you change your oil, but it's highly recommended.

Not sure if 1G & 2Gs use the same Master cylinder though, sorry.

Does anyone know if they offer any upgrades as for as the master and slave cylinders go? I have been searching and found nothing so far.

As mentioned before, just replace them both. Besides the slave cylinder isn't that much more expensive comparing to the master. As if the car braking on the 13-th day... you luck, mine broke on the second day of owning my DSM, and back then I didn't know much about working on cars. I guess, thanks to DSM's, mine made me do my work on it myself. Good luck.

I dont think so. The oem's are real good and you dont need anything else. You can buy a longer rod for the slave but thats only if you have a upgraded clutch and need the extra throw

Ok wasnt sure i am still waiting on parts to finish my motor but it looks like i am going to have to go with a twin disc clutch and wasnt sure if it was getting to work.

1G and 2G master cylinders are not interchangeable.

Using an extended rod on your slave cylinder puts more stress on its seals and reduces it's life. Use the short one unless you have a really weak left leg (wuss).
