So i see a "SS" clutch line kit and everything.. Im confused on where this line is routed from..

My problem is, on the gsx i acquired the line from the master cylinder was cut right before the cylinder attached to the transmission..

Will this line, http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/398142-clutch-line.html ^^ that is linked in here, Is this the line from the Master to the cylinder on the transmission? or does it go straight from master to the slave?

(What is this cylinder located on the transmission anyway??)

STM: STAINLESS CLUTCHLINE | MASTER TO SLAVE CYLINDER | 90-99 DSM

Will this one work from the master DIRECT to the slave? im confused on all these different lines...

Yea the link that map sells is the one that replaces the whole entire line (from master to slave).

I have the one that replaces the rubber line (accumulator to slave cylinder). I prefer my current setup since it keeps the hard line.

Edit: Is your rubber line cut or the actual metal line that is cut?

Ok that little cylinder is to supposedly make the feel of the pedal better. As far as the line goes, yes the STM line will eliminate that cylinder completely and go straight to the slave. Removing that cylinders will give you a much better feel of whats really going on!

I am actually using the line that is your second link.. Honestly I havent felt ANY change in pedal feel at all.. Feels the same as it did before. But at least now I know its not leaking! ;)

The STM one? it seems like ima be using it for my GST, and my friends GSX project ;)

You can possibly sell the cylinder that's bolted to the transmission (called the accumulator) to someone who plans on installing a QM twin disc setup. Those guys use them for easier releasing of the clutch, I believe.

Welp, i have 2 of them now, so lemme know if you know someone who needs one!

Yes the STM one..

I dont know if its just my car or me for that matter but, to me, my clutch pedal has always felt like dog ass.. Real soft. Even with my South Bend clutch its still weird.. Even after countless times adjusting and bleeding still nothing.. Soo I dont know if it just my car being a freak or what..

I removed mine and the clutch pedal feels the same. It's better to remove it because it has less weak spots because it's one solid line from master to slave. I would say run without the accumulator/ clutch damper and never look back.

I feel the same way. I always thought the clutch on these cars were real soft. I took out the accumulator (replaced w/ braided ss from the master to slave) and the little restricter in the slave cylinder and it's still softer than my DD ('07 vw rabbit). I think removing the restricter was the most noticable, as the clutch returns faster that it used to. I was thinking that when I updrade to a southbend clutch I would feel a difference, but now you have me wondering?:hmm:
