i'm new to DSM's so theres alot i dont know about them. my problem is this, my clutch pedal is very loose. it releases very low, almost on the floor. i went to bleed the clutch today to see if that was the problem, but the fluid is barely coming out of the bleed screw while pumping the clutch. its barely building up any pressure. now the clutch is even worse. now i have to pump it several times before it will go into gear or disengage from gear. could this be the clutch master cylinder or what? any help would be great

don't know where you learned to bleed a clutch, but anytime I have done it....it has taken 2 people.

I can't do it by myself!!

One person = the clutch pumper and holder

other person = the slave bleeder and retightener

I helped petie pablo bleed his clutch.

Something is wrong. I'm thinking it's his clutch master cylinder, but i'm not quite sure.

His pedal has very light pressure, lighter then stock probably, even after bleeding through an entire bottle of brake fluid.

After he pumps the pedal and holds it. I open up the bleed screw and the fluid comes out with hardly no pressure. When I bled my clutch, fluid was shooting out very fast and hard with a lot of pressure. I know something is wrong.

He has a CFDF clutch.

I recommended to him that we start with the cheapest fixes first.

Adjust the clutch rod, but this had already been done I take it by the previous owner, it was adjusted all the way out.

I told him we could then swap my slave cylinder over to his car to see if that would help after we re-bleed it.

I also have a taboo slave cylinder rod that I told him he could borrow to see if that would help with the disengagement.

AFter that, i told him it's either the clutch master cylinder, if not, we need to drop the tranny and check the pivot fork for cracks. If good, put a lock washer on the pivot ball, I did this and i think it helped me the most when i did my 2600 swap.
