Ok so the story is was driving nicely home and was approaching my street. So I was in first and gave her a 5k shift into second and after that the pedal went straight to the floor when pushed. Pedal came straight back up but would not let me go in any gear when I depressed the clutch pedal. When the car is off I can put it in gear and when started the clutch is already engaged and instantly moves. No leaks anywhere and the car is a 1990 Laser. Any help is greatly appreciated as i'm on my last wit's with this car.

Have you checked both the master and slave cylinders as well as checking for air in the lines? There isn't much to these systems at all unless you have a tranny problem. Last time I had a similar problem (can't shift unless car is off) it was my slave cylinder.

Tighten up everything along the line and try a bleed. You are positive there were no little leaks at all around or behind the boots on the cylinders?

So looked at it and checked for leaks and found one coming from the drivers side floor from a little slit in it and no where else. In the car it's dry. Nothing leaking from the slave and the lines are all spotless with not a spec of anything on them. Checked the pedal assembly and it's fine(nothing broken from it) and i can still rev match when driving the car so is it still possible it could be the clutch assembly? I can also turn the car on without pushing in the clutch...

Well I got a slave and master on order so will replace them and go from there...

Canceled the order as I had some more time to look at it. The TOB clip came off and I can move the clutch fork side to side so guessing the pressure plate fed up. Joys.

Well replaced the clutch and put it all back together and went for a drive I noticed it was slightly grinding in 2nd. I went to check the clutch pedal and could pull it forward with my hand. Can also start the car without the clutch pedal engaged. Would that be a bad clutch pedal assembly?

Well still have issues with this. Replaced the Clutch with a ACT 2100, Master Cylinder and Slave Cylinder. After I bleed the whole system and push on the clutch fork, the slave rod takes about 10 seconds to fully retract back to the clutch fork and even after that I can wiggle the clutch fork a little bit. Any ideas?

Humm, seems like it's been bothering you for some time. Did you adjust your master rod when you put in the master cyl.
When you took the tranny off to install the clutch did you inspect the housing for the condition of the fork and ball.
Do you have a haynes manual for the clutch sensor thingy, I forgot what it's called.

Yup Master adjusted just as stated in the jacks transmission vid and fork and ball were only a few kms old and looked mint. Lost my haynes manual but yeah this car has been bothering since august :/
