Anyways back on topic, clear tail lights aren't my thing and I don't like the way they look. You should look into some EDM/JDM ones with the orange in them.

I like all tails for reasons. Call me a ricer or not. I always wanted a set of clear tails cause they were rare, so I got a set, owned them for a small amount of time and traded them for a set of altezza's that I plan on building a set of custom LED Tails with. I go through different tail lights like shoes... And since you mention it, my next tail light is some EDM Tails.

I have already had my tail light harness built for the EDM Tail Lights. You can kinda notice the color difference in my clear tails, the brake lights I had red bulbs in, and the signals I have some Silverstar 1156 Dual Beam Bulbs in, the amber lighting is amazing.... It was the closest I had to EDM Tails at the time.

I remember helping a buddy putting a set on his early 90's civic HB back in the day. That was back before they had LED bulbs so the red painted bulbs you could get needed to be replaced every few months as the red would soon turn light pink.

Then there was also the really intelligent people running them who just put clear bulbs in them. Nothing like driving on a closed sided, one direction highway at night & seeing white lights infront of you

Dude, I saw a friggin old school Civic with clear tails... MINT Condition, Looks like it was fixed up around 1997-2001 and then garraged. It was like a blast from the past! Blue Paint Job, Black Widow 1 Body Kit, White Motegi MR7 Wheels, Clear Tails... Looked like that car that was on the beginning of Gone In 60 Seconds

No, thats actually my car. I didn't know if it was a knockoff or not like everything else the previous owner installed. I bought a set of stockers, still debating on pulling them out or not.

For some reason these are unusually hard to grab in America but seem pretty abundant on european shores. I personally just like the stockers with the center piece painted to match the car. Maybe some tints. But not clear, just my opinion.

You can purchase clear taillights, but they will be used and somewhat hard to find. They are not made anymore.

Used maybe. I believe everywhere discontinued them because they were illegal. Your tail lights have to be red so you would need red bulbs. Which would almost guarantee you getting pulled over .

I have two sets of these- one set is on my 2G, the other is a backup set that actually came from a local DSMer that used his car for shows only. They are literally MINT, and I didn't really have plans to get rid of them because of their rarity.

I've been told these are illegal, but I've never been pulled over or ticketed for anything based on my taillights. They have a DOT stamp right on the lens, and as long as you use red bulbs they emit a bright, red illumination. Hell there are more and more cars that come with clear tails from the factory these days, the the Eclipse clear tails look nearly factory so I'm sure you could fool even the brightest of local cops.



On a side note, sometimes these lights are for sale here in the classifieds, and you can occasionally run across them on eBay....unfortunately you're a few days late for this set:
