Yeah I noticed that- I figured he was either too late or the lights sold for too much...perhaps the seller didn't want to fool with international shipping either (I know I wouldn't).

I don't know what the O.P. is willing to pay, but with the rarity of these lights you're not going to find a set for $30.

Those were actually my set that I just sold on ebay. They were posted in the classified section for quite a while but no one wanted them. So they went on ebay. I think there is another set on ebay with a buy it now price of $250.

How could you make the stock lens from red to clear?

From searching I believe it says you just have to pull them apart like headlights and remove the film from the inside of the lens.

the plastic itself is red or else i would have done this about 9yrs ago when i was 16. haha. me and my ricer days...
you can however make your own clear lenses for fairly cheap and ive considered doing it. you just buy a set of those crappy ebay altezza's then bake your OEM tails pull of the red lense and bake the altezza tails and pull of the clear lens. then its just putting the altezza clear lens on the OEM tail light body... DONE!

A while back me and a buddy pulled a motor and trans out of a GSX. It had these lights on it, Dude said i could have them for $25 but i didnt think i would use them. It crossed my mind to sell them but i didnt get them.

Bad thing is he was crushing the GSX the next day...

i imagine on some applications it wouldnt look bad though.
My opinion is tinted, or OEM ftw.
with a painted centerpiece.

It is funny because I like the US tail lights most. I had the ones with amber blinkers, then I changed them with the all red OEM euro tail lights. Now I have all those lying around and installed US version on my car

I guess one likes the thing that is unusual for his country

Actually the ones that I can get in Japan do not have the foglights in them, but have the amber corners. Yes Eclipse's are not made in Japan but the taillights without the fogs can be had in Japan. Same thing goes for EDM. Did they ever make Eclipse's in Europe?

I love the clear tails on the spyder.... Also, at least in FL, as long as the back of your car has something that - Reflects red, Shines red and is red when off its legal. So, you can have them with red bulbs, and add the small red reflector licence plate screws ( the ones that motorcycles use ). The fine will not hold up in court.
