Hey guys, i just bought a 4g63t and the owner told me that the computer was chipped, and the rev limiter was set to 8000 rpm, with this he had a forge bov, replaced air filter, and a highflow cat, he told me he was running 230 horsepower. When i put the engine in my car, it will have all of this except i have full blown exhaust system, headers, and i am going to be replaceing the intake with an injen short ram intake. How much do you think i will be pushing? Also, i do not know much about the entire "chipped computer" thing. Can you all please tell me more about this, i have searched the forums, and i do not understand what they are talking about, could some one dumb it down a bit? Thanks for your help, please reply!

by a cheaped ecu you you mean eprom right if so that mean he had the stock chip token out and socotted with a new and better chip that can be reflashed for dif injector sizes stutter box settings for more info go to KEYDIVER Chips - DSM ECU Tuning and that site will tell you everything you need to now about what he might have done to the eprom in the ecu enjoy and the stutter box setting at 8000 rpm is really high i would turn it down to like 5500 to 4500 rpm

alright that answers that, now how many horses you all suppose i would be pushing

No way to know... Too many factors... You need to take it to the dyno... If I had to guess though... It would be somewhere between 1hp and over 9000!!!

There's really no way to tell. You'll have to put it on a dyno to find out. Good luck.
