Thats why you want to post it :sneaky:. Man every thread we have here involves some kind of beef. DSMers are too agressive. WTF This Forum is aboout brotherhood :toobad:

Beef? Although a true statement, what I said was in jest. I'm slightly confused as to how you construed that as 'beef' though..

Lol I was gonna say, 3.0 is a pita or next to impossible to achieve with an athlon xp. I've got the same case as a scobel does.
My specs:
DFI NF4 Lanparty Ultra D
Ocz 700 watt power supply
Ocz Platnum memory
2 DVD/CD RW Drive
1 7600 GT (need a newer one getting outdated, once 9 series come out, 8 series will be CHEAP)

Razer Keyboard/ Mouse
7.1 Surround Speakers
2.4 dual core opteron 939 Processor OC'd to 3.0

I bought mine at walmart for $500 now who wants to touch me? WHO WANTS TO TOUCH ME!!!!!!!!!

Ehh no I didn't make it. The link under the picture takes you to the site of those who did though.

If you would've made it, there would at least be an EvoIII 16g hooked up to it. ROFL

I'd post pictures of my computer(s), but they're definitely not worthy seeing these other computers. Especially Eric's...that should be my computer.

e6750 over clocked to 3.3 for now, running 2 gigs or ram ( I own 4 ) on windows xp 32.EVGA 8800gts 640mb, EVGA 680i A1 mother board, Fatality sound card. so basically I'm a nerd. This computer was sick when i first got it but now its just ok or good. All I play is Battlefield 2 anyways, I don't like crysis and COD 4 was ok for a bit but BF2 is so crazy the way you can fly stuff and drive on a huge map.

256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT OC
Windows XP Home
SoundMAX Digital Audio
17" FP Dell E172FP Monitor

Plays Bioshock and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fine. I should get at least another gig of RAM.

Nice rig, I used to water cool back in the Thunderbird days.

I used to play BF2 as well, it was a fun game. COD4 was fun for a bit multiplayer but the lack of map variety killed it for me.

Wow, these are very old..

If anyone want to play some source hit me up on steam, Way2xtr3me

2 gig ocz plat.
Amd 3000 1.8 Oc'd 2.4 Air cooled.
1 160 gig, 1 500 gig
Ati 9600 pro oc'd

Here's what's leftover from my 2002/3 dream machine (current machine)

Athlon 2800+ barton cpu
512 cosair 400 fsb ram
MSI ms7061 (after 2 dead asus )
ATI 9200 se 128mb < funkiller, Lost tv out on my All in Wonder 9600
2x40gb IBM deskstars in raid 0
1x160gb sata
HP multiformat DVD burner w/ lightscribe
Lite-on DVD rom
Generic Yamaha sound card with spdif out

Had all this in an Antec Overture case so it sat on my Surround stack. Wireless keyboard/mouse and a 15 ft. monitor cord and lookout Need for Speed Underground! Those were the days...

Now he lives in some generic tin led fan case since he met the little lady, an HP p4 (wifes PC) and started the home network. Along came the Compaq p4 machine (son's PC) then the HP P3 laptop.

i dont have any pics, my case is nothing special, i have since de-riced it, sprayed every clear plastic part black, ripped out ever LED in every case fan i could.

my setup is as follows:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 3.0ghz Dual-Core
ZALMAN CNPS 9700 NT 110mm cpu fan
DFI Lanparty NF590 MR2/G MoBo
4gB Geil DDR2 "Black Dragon" Gaming Ram (PC6400 / 800mhz)
BFGtech 8800GTX
680w Apevia Beast P/S
Windows Vista Ultimate x32
1 250gb Sata3.0 10Krpm main OS drive
(2) 320gb Sata3.0 7.5Krpm, (1) 500gb mass storage drives
Dell 24" Widescreen LCD (1920x1200)

im seriously thinking on selling my 8800GTX though, theres nothing coming out yet that catches my eye, and Crysis was a let down (even on medium settings the gameplay was too choppy/glitchy)

I got a 900mhz athlon aka t-bird overclocked to 1ghz ;Multipler hasn't not been changed. :( , 384MB ram SDRAM that is :(. I think the FSB 100mhz . I had this computer since 00. Never took a dump on til motherboard gave out. Im running XP and works like a champ. I've seen so many newer computer running like crap because of its preinstalled bull crap software.

which is why A) you build your own, or B) reformat the pre-manufactured turds and dont reinstall all their lame BS. I like dell because if you call them up and order a PC over the phone you can opt out on all the crap hardware, and just install what is necessary (drivers, etc) to run and thats it.

This is how i roll. the macbook pro is my new toy and has made me happy so far

My first computer was a top-o-the-line 8088 Tandy 1000, 256k ram, 5.25" DD/DS floppy and EGA monitor. We added an external 5.25 DD/DS floppy, maxed the ram out to a ridiculous 640k. It acquired a 300baud modem before too long, and eventually mated with a 2400baud.

It wasn't cheap. I still have it in the basement somewhere.

Building your own PC Pwns the shit outta anything you can get at a store. Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more! FTW.

FTW.

Rediculous.

I've never built a PC and i'm very computer literate plus good with my hands, does anybody have a build your own computer guide.

I've been building my own since the 90's. Most important part is the planning; make it strong where you use it the most (storage, video games, video editing, etc.)

Just like a car, do your research and buy the good parts. Start a thread, sounds like there are plenty of advisers on here with the skills.

Overcome your fear, Grasshopper! :D
