Well Sergio hasn't responded to any of my messages since Aug 7th, which was the 2nd time he'd told me he was shipping them out the next day when I asked. So i opened a claim with paypal.
How every the guy at paypal wouldn't listen to me when I said I only needed the refund amount for the side skirts ($270+shipping) instead he put a claim in for all my payments to sergio. Stating that should trigger a response from sergio.
Sergio has till sept 19th to respond or I get a full refund for everything (which I don't want, I just want the side skirts or my money back for them)

Said he'll ship my parts tuesday. Gave me a picture of my box with a shipping label.

Said he was waiting on filling a full truck from mexico which is why he hadn't sent them yet.

So he's sending mine via ups like he said he was going to do back on July 27th. For pick up July 28th

On different news I have 2 race days coming up where hopefully Ill get to try out my car and parts and give a review on parts.

Funny how a PayPal claim will get his attention, least he could have done was give you a simple update when you've been asking. As good as the parts could be, I don't think I'd ever order from him for the reasons present in this and many other threads.

Exactly, i keep thinking i should tame a risk and order a bunch of stuff, then i remember all the issues and say hell no, as much as i want some of the parts, i would rather not bother or see if the basic stuff is sold at SCF

Sergio ripped me off flat out back when the sunroof plugs were being made, I made a deposit for like $130 or something and then never got the plug or a refund after months and months of back and forth. A paypal claim wont work when your making a deposit on something that is going to get made months later and he knows that! I would stay far away from Carbonetics and Sergio, this is a shady dishonest person.

I have received the hood and the V2 AMB Aero Kit. Hoping to have the hood on this weekend, just have to button up some engine stuff first. The kit arrived in good condition, just a minor crack on the side skirt. and the hood looks awesome, just waiting to fit it up. I will post pics when I do hopefully sunday.

Is your hood different since you got the full aero kit? I know the original ones were.

I know mine is different due to the fact that it is the V2 version and has the large vents added to it, but I believe it is from the same mold as every other V2 AMB hood that he sells. I can say it fits with the stock bodywork, so to the best of my knowledge it is the same.

@rival Thanks for the pictures! Just to confirm, do you have an upper timing belt cover/cam gear cover on? I run a clear cover and need to make sure this clears as I do not want to hack up the hood.

I just ordered this hood as well. That was the reason why I ordered it. Its supposed to clear the timing cover

Yes that is with the timing belt cover on. I run a clear HKS cam cover as well and there are no fitment issues clearing the cover. I even have enough room for my spark plug wires to run over the cover without rubbing on the hood.

Hate to bring this back up but after the run around from Sergio, I filed a dispute with PayPal. Promised my Spyder CSL carbon hatch in 8-12 weeks. That ship has sailed. I placed my deposit July 3rd 2019 checked in with him once in a while and he said it was actually ahead of schedule and he would ship it closer to mid October. Great still not within time frame but at least he was talking to me.

Last Friday he said it was ready to ship and he sent me the remaining balance on my invoice. I paid it and was expecting tracking info. Never happened. I called him yesterday and he apologized because he was at WCF and said it had either already shipped or it would ship 100% yesterday. He claimed my part was finished and ready to ship, and promised I would have tracking by the end of the day. That came and went and didnt hear a thing. Messaged him last night and asked if there was any issues. Never got a reply.

I just want my money back at this point, I wasn't about to wait until it was too late to file a dispute for a refund with PayPal so let's see what comes of this. I'd 100% rather have the trunk because it's an awesome part and looks incredible but man, I don't like being lied to.

Unfortunately this is his MO. He get's behind and starts lying to customers instead saying I'm really behind and it will be another 3 weeks. The sad part is people on this site will actually defend that behavior because he's a cool custom-parts-maker like they wish they could be. It's a bad way to run a business no matter how you look at it. I say just give it more time unless you want the money for something else.

Its pretry flat but looks good with no big holes in between,

I think i looked all over the place and that place you was looking at had a spot weld and metal underneath so i avoided that area, i found thisnwas a great place and was easy to tap the nut inside

This is exactly why I've never pulled the trigger in ordering parts from him either. Really wanted a sunroof plug, hood, etc. I just can't get passed the dishonest relationships he has with customers.

It stinks because I really want this carbon trunk and I know he makes good parts. He did send me a picture on Thursday of my trunk being made he said it would only take a few more days to be finished and shipped. Just another update fellas, I have a tracking number that shows delivery tomorrow November 16th. He said it was ready to go and packaged on wednesday and the package was picked up yesterday. Hoping to see it Saturday sometime!
