ok i have a little prob. i dont know if its my valve seals, head gasket, or rings. i have oil on the spark plug in the #4 cyl, hard to start, and smokes like a train. i need some help on this one

Have you checked to see if your valve cover gasket is bad ? This can cause oil to get in your plug and blow out the spark. If so, replace it asap, it's fairly easy and cheap.
You did however say it smokes a lot, i would assume your piston rings are bad, do a compression test and report back the numbers.

Above all else, if you do have a shop do the job, make sure they know what they are doing. I know it is not a cheap option but if you take it to a dealership your chances of getting it done right are higher. Good luck.

found my problem. removed the head and low and behold my #4 piston had a nice hole in it and the rings were so shot that they were out of the piston. i know that because i removed the oil pan and pieces of ring were everywhere. i got it fixed now , just got a new bottom end
