I did two 3rd gear pulls. Looks like the second log is better then the first one. After the first pull I zero'd out the fuel adjustments and it looks like it got rid of some of the knock. Both runs were done on 91 and on meth (heet bottles).

I know I dont have a wideband but what A/F ratio should I be shooting for on link? Is the A/F ratio on link fairly accurate?

Any advice would be great to improve my tune.

I would zero out your fuel sliders. I have yet to see a car that needs positive fuel sliders. You said you zero'd out the fuel sliders for the 2nd pull, but they still look adjusted.

If you haven't done so, log your TPS to make sure it goes from 0 - 100.

I would adjust your airflow as follows (this is just me being picky ;)):

400Hz = +5%
1200Hz = -4%
1600Hz = -6%
2000Hz = -3%

I personally wouldn't trust the A/F ratio in DSMlink. It'd get you in the ballpark, but I would just take it very easy if you base it off of that. I aim for 11:1 on 93 pump.

Thanks for your response. I will make those adjustments and try to put up another log when I can.

Here is another log with the adjustments made. Didn't quite go to red-line, but seems like I have a lot less knock and it felt like it pulled a little harder. So now what should I do? Up the boost, add timing?

Sorry I'm new at link and still learning.

Adjust TPS sensor. You can do this with the car off (make sure key is in ON position). Make sure it reads 0 when off the throttle and 100 when WOT. Also make sure throttle cable is adjusted and your floor mat isn't preventing the pedal from going the whole way down.

Also, just curious as to where you got your global and deadtime numbers. Both JeffGST's page and the DSMlink wiki are different from yours. Check those two pages out and make the adjustments. For the global, I would just go between the two suggested numbers.

I would say your next goal would be to get a wideband. Yes, you can do some conservative adjustments with the fuel to get to an 11:1 ratio, but it would be much better to have a dedicated wideband sensor so you can log it and know exactly what your A/F ratio is.

You do airflow sliders first (pretty much in check), then fuel sliders (highly suggested to have wideband), then lastly timing sliders.

OK I will do the throttle adjustment later today when I go out to the car. And I got my global and deadtime from Jeff's page. And I figured out where your getting the confusion from because my car profile says 780's instead of 880's. But I have PTE 880's I have to fix that in my profile.

So I guess the new thing to do on my "to do list" is get a wideband. I will tweak with my fuel sliders very conservatively until I get a wideband then.

Thanks for all the help Brian :thumb:

Well I decided to do a short 2nd to 3rd log since I noticed my cel light coming on in 2nd but not in 3rd. So my question is why am I seeing knock in 2nd but not in 3rd? Could this be phantom knock? Since I see phantom knock once in a while at partial throttle for about 15mins after I start the car.

Second gear starts at about 10seconds.

Let me know what you think. Thanks

Edit: Oh yeah, and dont mind me hitting off the rev limiter between 2nd and 3rd. Forgot my nlts wasn't turned on.
