Can some one please look at my pics off my clutch to see if there is anything wrong? Also if it is still useable?
Mileage on clutch (ACT 2600) had about maybe 15,000-20,000 miles with about two dozen track launches in about 6 years. Flywheel has been resurfaced to proper step and has about 2,000 miles.
Trying to determine why it is hard for me to shift in any gear. Yes I did adjust the clutch pedal to proper spec per jacks video. Also replaced both clutch and master cylinder before dropping the trans.
The best way I could shift somewhat was adjust clutch pedal far out of spec with about a couple threads left on the rod and even with that I had clutch dragging at about 3-4k rpm.
Any help is appreciated. Thinking about getting a South bend clutch.
    Thanks

I'm having the same problem on my 1g! I don't understand I was convinced it was my pedal assembly, but it's still a problem even after replacing it. I don't think 2g's have pedal assembly problems, but maybe look into shimming or replacing the pivot ball

I just shimmed out my pivot ball and it only has about 2k miles on it. Also replaced the clutch with a southbend over this past weekend and still having issues. So I ordered an oem clutch master cylinder and see if that is my problem. I returned my autozone part, maybe it was a bad unit in the first place. I'm running out of options here LOL.

Yeah I watched that video a couple of times. Hopefully the oem clutch master cylinder works out.

I can shift with the car off. I doubt it can be my cables if thats the direction you are going.
Getting an OEM Master clutch cylinder in tomorrow and see if it works.

Lets see the clutch forks hole where the pivot ball seats. Try a comp forged one

It's an oem trans right? Any reason to believe you could have granaded a shift fork inside the trans?

If the shift fork inside the trans is broken, Could I still shift into gear when the car is off?
Hoping for the best on the OEM clutch master cylinder coming in tomorrow.
I will let you know if it works out.

It would feel like there is no gears to go into. At least in my case the 3-4 was just non existant, it wasnt that i was locked out, it just wasnt there LOL

I could go into 1,2,5 and R but maybe you have more than one fork or slider that blew up. I keep a piece of my old broken trans 3rd gear slider as good luck LOL and sent it to shep for a stage 3, no issues since except i could use new cables myself.

Are you able to shift gears manually with the counter weight? If not then it's time to drain fluid see what it looks like and crack her open

My mt90 looked like bmw's gunmetal metallic paint. I almost sh** myself when i saw that.

I can manually shift the gears from the motor side with the car off.
The oem clutch master cylinder did not work for me. I am running out of ideas. Next is to replace the new autozone slave cylinder with an oem part but this new one is working and not leaking at all.
Also pressure plate is new south bend and disc. Also new resurfaced flywheel.

I drained it when I dropped the trans and still looks red with a little gray in it. But not bad. Running out of options. Lol

Was your tob clip on the correct way? Does the clutch fork have wear? Shimming is a bandaid you know

    Cable bushings seized?

Tob and clip was connected properly. Clutch fork is new oem with about 2k miles. Shimmed about 1/16th of a washer, very thin washer. Bushings looks good, shifter moves freely.

I was having problems with my 1g for awhile with it not wanting to go into reverse.... after checking EVERYTHING, it turned out to be loose shifter cables under the console. Just something to check since it takes like 5 mins and is real easy.

If it shifts with the engine off than it is clutch related. Have you checked the step on the flywheel? Sometimes act clutches like a little deeper step. Years ago i had one that i had bought second hand with real low mileage. It wouldn't release properly with a new fork, pivot ball and rebuilt slave and master cylinder. I had the step cut slightly deeper than what the stock spec is and it worked great. It seems like there is a quality control issue with the disc's sometimes, like they are a little too thick.

Newly resurfaced dosnt mean squat. What is the step? If anybody ever says it was measured with a caliper they deserve to have clutch problems. Use a depth mic. Op? Did you or the shop verify step height?
