I wanted to know If I put crowers cams in my engine would it hurt the stock bottom end or can you only put them in after upgrading the bottom end?

Here's what I found:

Cams:

Good ole Crower 2's are like a "Super Cam". These are so versatile. You can just bolt them on to your stock set-up and leave them in for your journey to over 200whp. In addition, you can use these on various turbo set-ups. They just got these cam numbers right.

But this doesn't discount using something like Crower 3's. They will be fine. Its just that the Crower 2's will work nicely as you start and bring you up and over the 200whp threshold.

It shouldn't effect the bottom end, but I would look into if upgraded valve springs are needed.

Stage 1 cams in most cases don't require upgraded valve springs and valves. Stage 2 and 3 though will more than likely require upgraded valvetrain. Also, You wont really be taking full advantage of what the cam is designed for without getting your head ported and polished.. As, far as your question, You can completely ruin your entire motor if you run Stage 2 or 3 cams without at least a valvetrain upgrade.

You will need springs, I would also get a good header, and intake since your pushing more air in/out of your motor.
