2G Cam Angle Sensor

whats up everyone one question i blew the motor in my 98 gst looking at one from tiger japenese auto heres the problem one has a big cam angle sensor and the other one has a small cam angle sensor can someone please help and tell me the difference.

Im not sure what your trying to say. But from what I understand in your text. The big CAS is for 1g and small is for 2g. The big one goes on the left of your head. Its real easy to get to. The small one is for 2g which is under the cam gear. Its a big pain to replace if you have big hands. Hope this helped.

Basically you need to either buy a 1g to 2g harness adapter, or just rewire it yourself, not hard at all.

If both CAS are located at the same side of the head, Then, The big once is a 1g, like stated before, and the small one is the 2g, Which the 97, 99 are at the same place as the 1g.

The 2g that (jpmxrider489) is saying, Is the 2g 95,96 CAS, which is located at the opposite side of the head.

Are they both on the same side of the engine? He has a 98 gst doesn't the cam sensor set in the same place? I thought only the 95-96's had the cam sensor under the intake gear rider489?

Yes, you are wright.

Only the 95, 96 has the cam at the intake gear, and the 97,99 has it at the same location of the 1g CAS.
