Hey guys. Some of you may have seen my post about my bov flange leaking from before. Well I fixed it and all has been running well until this morning I went to drive my car to class and around 5ish psi my car jerked hard so I let off the throttle. I popped my hood and discovered the return tube from my bov to my intake had blown off. So I coast it back to my house and tighten it as best I can. The tube was kinda fabbed up by me so it doesn't fit perfectly. Well after that I take it down my road and now around 8psi it's doing the same thing. Only now I can hear the noise I heard when it was leaking from before right before it cuts. What do you think is causing this? Do I possibly need to make a better fitting return tube? From what I can tell now it seals just fine but it may not be. I don't have any leaks from anywhere else.

I'm thinking it may be my ebay bov is dead. It no longer sounds normal. It sounds kinda like a goose now LOL. I have another new ebay bov I can swap on and see if it helped. If so I guess I will have to start looking for a 1g bov.

If it had blown off that means it's pressurizing it. I'd do a boost leak test and make sure the BOV is still working properly. That would explain the fuel cut too.

Alright well I just went and swapped on a completely new bov (greddy style too) and it is still doing it. The return tube is fitted nicely and everything is nice and tight. Yet at 9psi or so I hit fuel cut once again and my bov still sounds like a goose call when it let off the throttle. I don't think it would be the bov seeing as how this one is completely new. It was working perfectly fine just last night. Anyone have any clue what it could be?

They are for someone in high school with Burgerking as their only source of income to pay for everything I own LOL. I'll try a leak test when I can get the tester made. I'm just confused as to why this problem would arise out of nowhere.

Haha define expensive. The "name brand" ones START at $200. You can get a 1G BOV for $40.

I had the chance to grab a 1g bov on ebay last night for $40 but don't have the money for even that right now. haha

Why are you suspecting fuel cut? If your recirc tube popped off that could cause plenty of issues on its own.

Well it is back on there now and isn't popping off. I am suspecting fuel cut because right around 9psi it feels like I drive straight into the side of a building. LOL

Shit happens, you never know what until you diagnose. :thumb:

And BOV's are extremely inexpensive. A 1g DSM BOV is not only a fraction of the price of your eBay brand, it actually works.

I'll pick one up on ebay when I get the money and today I'll try to get a boost leak tester made. Hopefully just a leak I can't see. Who knows.

Try to disconnect the battery for a few minutes to reset the ecu, then reconnect and test drive it. If it was fuel cut the computer will remember what parameters the fuel cut happened at and continue to cut fuel when those conditions are met. A reset of the ecu by letting it go to sleep (disconnecting the battery) just might be all you need now that you have your hose hooked back up.;) Good luck!:thumb:

I tried resettting the ecu. Well I took it down the road and for some reason it spiked to 13psi and I hit fuel cut once again. Then I tried again and it feels like there is something holding it back when the turbo spools because I have no power. I went and bought the stuff for a leak tester. So if I get that put together I'll see if I can find any big leaks.

Quick question, for my boost leak tester, can I put it on the end of the turbo that my air intake goes on?

Well I did a boost leak test and didn't find any. I've check to make sure nothing was in my mass airflow. Tried two different bov's. Nothing I do fixes it. Any ideas?
