Just got a 1ga. Been doing everything I can to get her back into shape. She keeps hitting fuel cut at about 3500-4000rpm. It has a hole in the exhaust don't know if that could be causing it, just put a new ecu in it and changed the wastegate acuator. I have done all the free mods to the car, besides that she's completely stock. Any thought on why this is happening and how i can fix it?

You've got a horrible boost leak or/and the boost is turned up far too high. Due to the RPM range that you're hitting fuel cut at, though, I'd blame it on a bad singular boost leak or a seires of them. Do a bit of research and you'll find this information standing right in front of you in all directions.

Make a boost leak tester and get to work.

A whole in your exhaust will not cause "Fuel Cut". I don't think that you are experiencing fuel cut, but rather a boosteK of sorts. "Fuel Cut" is commonly misconcepted with a boost leak because you are losing power. As stated above, perform a proper boost leak test, see what you find, seal them all up. Then see what you get. It is always likely that there is a leak. It's just one of those things you have to do with a forced induction vehicle. Good luck.

I'm sorry I should've been more specfic the exhaust leak is right after the turbo 8in before the cat...I really don't think it's creep cause i'll see the gauge hit about 7-10 psi and then bog

As long as the leak is after the turbo, it should not be affecting the spool, though you should get it fixed. It is not boost creep. You are just using terms incorrectly. None the less, you said you would hit 7-10 psi and bog. When you say bog that also leads me to say it is not fuel cut. You would know if it was fuel cut, for it would feel like the car hits a brick wall, bucking, cutting, out and what not, and you would not second guess the thought of it. Sounds like you in fact have a boost leak. They are very common. You would not be hitting fuel cut at 10 psi on stock fuel system.

Read up on boost leaks and testing for them properly, perform one and see what you can come up with.

Also, please update your profile as car as modifications to your vehicle. It helps for diagnosing problems like such. Along with that, it helps for further diagnosis down the road. Thanks.

Issue solved, it was due to a dead injector. Thanks as always for the input for the new guy. He's taking it slow on the car. Nice to see someone fixing it correctly before they kill the poor car.
