I have a 1990 eagle talon tsi awd. Current mods are, fmic kit, evo 3 big 16g, Fic 650cc, Walbro 255, 3in tbe, dsmlink full, fp exhaust manifold. I recently I just installed the fmic, turbo, injectors and fuel pump. i have some logs to look at, but im pretty new to this so i don't really know what im looking at. When i go partial or wot, it boosts either to 10 lbs or 15lbs and stutters. I just changed the spark plugs and gapped them. ive been chasing down boost leaks and i know that the ic and piping is leak free. I do know that my throttle body leaks and im going to rebuild it, but im left to thinking that the intake mani or injector seals might be leaking, but im not sure if those can even cause this. Thanks for any input!!

Spray soapy water everywhere while doing your boost leak test. If it bubbles there you have it.
 
yeah i've done the boost leak test with the soapy water and thats how i found the throttle body. but i didn't think that it was big enough to cause a problem like this. and i gapped them at .24
 
For stock boost. But it doesn't hurt to close the gap a bit with higher boost. The plugs I took out were .30 and it runs better now
 
I've found that .3 is a bit big. .24 -.28 is often just right.
 
fixing boost leaks should be done asap for a proper tune. but here it goes

is this your tune or is this someone elses tune?

at idle your tps is set at .51 should be .63 to fix this either adjust sensor or with car off and connected to link while streaming press and release the gas pedel and right click to tpsadjust and save to ecu. make sure you press it all the way down and it comes all the way back up

second you have dead time but didnt change the global at all for your 650s. so as it sits your ecu thinks your running 450s with deadtime

do you have a wideband cause its not captured. and you have it listed for narrowband sim

i will suggest you change those settings and watch the videos on ecmlinks website for idle tuning and basic cruise tuning before you drive it anymore.

also please reset your timing and open loop tables to stock there is some drastic changes if you are unsure of what your doing

also are you actually using a gm maf?

you have a map sensor and wideband assigned to front 02 port

is there a reason it is set for 1100 \rpm idle?
 
I have the same issue as you with almost the same mods. I also have a huge boost leak that I can hear and the system won't hold pressure and its the throttle body. I also was missing the vacuum line on the wastegate. I'm in the middle of rebuilding my turbo now, then on to checking into other things. Keep posted about what your issue was when you figure it out.
 
Won't hurt, but In my case which was similar.. I pulled the pump and the walbro, since it sucks fuel at a higher rate it pulled small rust particles and was struggling to flow fuel properly. But like I was saying maybe would hurt to pull it and see what your strainer looks like.
 
So after some investigating that I did, I noticed that the injectors on link did go back to 450s which actually solved the problem![DOUBLEPOST=1410116661][/DOUBLEPOST]Oh and yeah I'm using a GM maf, but I do need to restart from the beginning on the tuning aspect because most of that was done by the owner before me so it won't hurt to start over.
